Street Closures This Week

The District Department of Transportation has announced temporary street closures in Georgetown for bridge and tunnel inspections.
- On Thursday, May 3, the right lane of eastbound lower K Street NW under the Whitehurst Freeway will be closed from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., weather permitting.
- On Friday, May 4, there will be alternating right and left lane closures of the eastbound Whitehurst Freeway over lower K Street and Water Street NW from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., weather permitting.
Per DDOT: Traffic controls will be in place to warn drivers approaching the areas. Motorists should anticipate moderate-to-heavy delays due to the lane closures. Drivers are advised to stay alert while traveling through these locations and to be observant of the inspection personnel.
