The eighth annual Great Ladies Luncheon & Fashion Show, held at the Ritz-Carlton, Washington, D.C., on April 18, raised more than $650,000 to support the innovative research of the Alzheimer’s Drug Discovery Foundation. CNN political anchor Wolf Blitzer hosted. ADDF co-chairmen Leonard and Ronald Lauder were unable to attend, but sent their gratitude to founding executive chairs Elise and Marc Lefkowitz for the luncheon honoring Elise’s mother Estelle Gelman. John Dempsey presented the Great Ladies Award to Neiman Marcus Group board member Karen Katz. The event was highlighted by a fashion show of Etro’s fall fashions, presented by the Neiman Marcus at Mazza Gallerie. A silent auction featured Etro at Milan Fashion Week and a Shih Tzu puppy.
