Latino Culture on Display at Fiesta DC (photos)

The Fiesta DC festival has been held annually in Washington, D.C., for 45 years. One of the highlights of the two-day event is the colorful Parade of Nations on Constitution Avenue, featuring native Latino cultural dance troupes as well as groups from local civic and cultural organizations and schools. The festival coincides with Hispanic Heritage Month (Sept. 15 to Oct. 15) and celebrates the culture and traditions of Spanish-speaking residents, who trace their roots to Spain, Mexico, Central America, South America and the Caribbean.
