RTR Sample Sale Returning to Georgetown

Online designer clothing and accessory service Rent the Runway will bring its sample sale back to the District from Thursday, Dec. 13, through Saturday, Dec. 22, at Georgetown pop-up location 3330 Cady’s Alley NW. Hours are 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.

This is the first RTR sample sale in D.C. since the initial one in 2016, which featured a line of eager shoppers that wrapped around the block.

At this year’s sample sale, guests can shop brands such as ML Monique Lhuillier, Diane von Furstenberg, Badgley Mischka, Kate Spade New York and Derek Lam 10 Crosby. For every item sold, Rent the Runway will donate one dollar to Dress for Success.

Since opening in the District, Rent the Runway has fundamentally changed the way D.C. approaches fashion. From workwear and holiday party attire to casual weekend outfits, designer labels are no longer reserved for the streets of New York City.

Earlier this year, Rent the Runway announced a partnership with WeWork, launching two new clothing drop-off sites in D.C., at WeWork Apollo, 810 7th St. NE, and at WeWork White House. This makes it easier for RTR Unlimited members to return clothes after wearing them.

Extra perks for the sample sale are available at renttherunway.com.
