On Saturday, January 4, several hundred anti-war demonstrators marched from the White House to the Trump International Hotel to protest against a new war with Iran and calling for the withdrawal of all U.S. troops and bases in the region.
It was one day after the killing of Iranian Major General Qassem Soleimani in Baghdad on orders from U.S. President Donald Trump. The attack has prompted fears of a major conflict in the Middle East.
According to organziers, tt was one of 90 coordinated protests taking place that day in cities and towns across the U.S.
