Crime Report, Nov. 8: Three GU Thefts


From the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD), here are the latest crime and police reports in or near Georgetown. 

Nov. 8 – Robbery Investigation: Underway in the 3100 block of 14th Street NW. MPD is on the lookout for a black male, 5’8”, wearing a black jacket, jeans, ski mask, and armed with a knife. 

Nov. 8 – Robbery Investigation: Underway in the 800 block of Florida Avenue NW. MPD is on the lookout for a black female, 5’3”, 55 years-old and a black male, 5’8”, skinny build, wearing all black clothing.  

Nov 8 – Stabbing Investigation: Underway in the 3700 block of Georgia Avenue NW. No suspect descriptions are available at this time.  

Nov. 7 – Shooting Investigation: Underway in the 5400 block of Georgia Avenue NW.  

Nov. 7 – Shooting Investigation: Underway in the 1800 block of Ninth Street NW.  

Nov. 7 – Arrest Made for Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun): The offense occurred on Nov. 5 in the unit block of H Street NW.  

Nov. 6 – Burglary: A student reported that an unidentified male gained entry to their secured residence and was found sleeping in another resident’s bed. The incident occurred at the Nevils Residential Living Hall of Georgetown Univ. between 37th and O Streets NW.  

Nov. 6 – Robbery Investigation: Underway in the Unit block of Florida Avenue NW.  

Nov 5 – Armed Burglary Arrest: Offense occurred on Nov. 2 in the 500 block of Gresham Place NW. 

Nov. 5 – Theft: A student reported the theft of a tablet at the Leavey Center located at 1560 Tondorf Road NW. 

Nov. 5 – Theft: A student reported the theft of a backpack at the Car Barn located at 3600 M Street NW. 

Nov. 3 – Confirmed Shooting: Occurred in the 2900 block of 14th Street NW. No suspect descriptions yet available.
