See “A Jazz New Year’s Eve” at the Kennedy Center 

On Friday evening with performances at 7 and 9 p.m., the Kennedy Center is hosting “A Jazz New Year’s Eve.” See greats like singer Dianne Reeves, pianist Chucho Valdés and saxophonist Joe Lovano at the Terrace Theater before ringing in 2022. More information on the shows can be found here.

Laugh with Comedian Vicki Barbolak at the DC Comedy Loft 

Comedian Vicki Barbolak will be at the DC Comedy Loft New Year’s weekend. You may remember her as one of the top 10 finalists in season 13 of America’s Got Talent. Barbolak will be at the Comedy Loft Friday at 7:30 and 10 p.m. and Saturday at 7 and 9:15 p.m. All seating is first come, first served and it’s recommended you arrive at least 30 minutes to one hour before the show starts. The ages are 21+ for late shows and 18+ for earlier times. More information on the performances can be found here.

New Year’s Day Pajama Brunch at Teddy & the Bully Bar 

Bring your tired, weary post-New Year’s Eve souls to one of the first brunches of the year in the District. Teddy & the Bully Bar is hosting guests from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. and brunch includes an omelet and waffle station, unlimited food and breakfast cocktails. 6th Annual New Year’s Eve Gala at the Andrew W. Mellon Auditorium 

The most glamorous and stylish Washingtonians head to the New Year’s Eve Gala at the Mellon Auditorium. Enjoy a night of philanthropy, elegance and of course an open bar, champagne and five different party spaces and DJs. There will be genres of music for everyone, from ages 21 to 81! Ring in what is sure to be a better year than the last two amidst the grand columns and marble floors of the Mellon Auditorium. More information on the gala can be found here.

The Willard Hotel is Also Hosting a New Year’s Eve Gala 

If the Mellon Auditorium isn’t your cup of tea, the Willard Hotel is hosting their very own luxe party on New Year’s Eve. There are three separate admissions—7:45 p.m. for the early birds, 9 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. for the night owls. Lots of champagne and an open bar and either a three-course dinner or dinner buffet with international cuisine will be available to enjoy. Of course, the Willard’s magnificent pastry chef will be concocting sweet treats. Get ready for a midnight balloon drop too! More information on the gala can be found here.

Check out Noon Yards Eve with the Family  

For families with little ones, you can celebrate 2022 from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Friday. There will be train rides through the Yards neighborhood, an inflatable slide and glitter tattoo artists. Kids will love the carnival games and music and crafts too. The event will have a noon countdown to the new year so children can feel included on New Year’s celebrations just in case they don’t make it to midnight!
