An officer of the 4th District was shot in the line of duty in the 1400 block of Quincy Street NW. The officer was treated for non-life-threatening injuries and released from a local hospital. Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) Chief Robert Contee spoke shortly after the incident and said when the suspect was questioned by officers he fired upon them. “The officers chased the suspect to the 1400 block of Quincy Street and that is where we are focusing our attention as of now,” said Chief Contee.
