WorldPride and Capital Pride Alliance Launch ‘Taste of Pride’

The Capital Pride Alliance and World Pride, in collaboration with DC Business Improvement District kicked off Taste of Pride 2025 on Jan. 30 at Hook Hall, featuring food and beverage tasting stations honoring LGBTQ+ owned and allied restaurants in the DMV. The rainbow-filled event was emceed by NBC4’s Jummy Olabanji.

Restaurants that participated included Sequoia, with a tuna-sesame noodle dish and Astro Doughnuts and Fried Chicken with rainbow doughnuts.

Taste of Pride 2025 is a multi-tiered program that celebrates the rich connection between the LGTBQ+ and culinary communities across the DMV. It is a culinary highlight of WorldPride that will be held May 23 through June 8 in conjunction with the 50th anniversary of Capital Pride celebrations.
