This year marks 50 years of Pride celebrations in D.C. The Capital Pride Alliance is hosting WorldPride 2025 and with it, multiple events throughout the community. Here is a roundup of events, with many more found at https://worldpridedc.org/ (there’s even an app for the event too!).
Latinx Pride Kickoff Reception
May 22, 8-10 p.m.
Kiki, 915 U St. NW
Latinx Pride 2025 will kick off at Kiki with a night of music and crowning of this year’s Mx., Mrs., Mr. DC Latinx Pride and MS. Drag DC Latinx Pride.
API Pride Community Welcome Reception
June 4, 6-8 p.m.
National Union Building, 918 F St. NW
The API Pride Community Welcome Reception invites LGBTQ+ Asian, Pacific Islander and Native American advocates, allies and activists to a reception at the National Union Building in Chinatown.

Trans Pride Washington, DC is a community-driven organization founded over 10 years ago. Through education, celebration and advocacy, the group works to create inclusive spaces where individuals can connect and share experiences.
How We Got Here & What We Do Now: Wisdom & Stories from Silver Pride Legends

True Reformer Building, 1200 U St. NW
This speaker series will feature three legendary LGBTQ+ champions and will be moderated by Rayceen Pendarvis.
DC Black Pride
May 23-26
DC Black Pride will be a powerful celebration of Black LGBTQ+ culture in D.C. Throughout the weekend, there will be brunches, happy hours, discussions and more.
Freedom to Sing: WorldPride International Choral Festival
May 22-June 8, Woolly Mammoth, Sixth and I, Shakespeare Theatre and more
The festival begins this evening at St. Thomas’ Parish with the Gay Men’s Chorus of Washington and an AIDS Quilt Panel Discussion and ends June 8 with a rally at the Lincoln Memorial and International March on Washington.
Youth Pride Day
May 31, 10 a.m.-2 p.m., Woolly Mammoth Theater Company, 641 D St. NW
SMYAL’s Youth Pride is a family-friendly event for LGBTQ+ youth ages 6-18 years old and their families. Those over 18 will only be able to enter the event if they are actively accompanying a youth age 18 or younger.
World Pride Parade
June 7, 2 p.m., 14th and T Streets NW
The Capital Pride Parade will transform into the iconic WorldPride Parade. Celebrate the history and evolution of LGBTQ+ neighborhoods in D.C. while recognizing the importance of taking to the street to fight for equality.
Freedom to Empower: International Rally + March on Washington for Freedom
June 8, 9:30 a.m. rally, 12 noon march, Lincoln Memorial
Join the fight against hate and join thousands of allies and activists and members of the community to rally on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial. Attendees are encouraged to bring signs and banners and wear their pride.
