Georgetown’s Fall Front Doors

Spooky season has begun! It is that time of year again when the air turns crisp, leaves scatter across Georgetown’s brick sidewalks, and the neighborhood’s homes transform into haunted masterpieces. This October, we are seeing a wave of creativity in the form of pumpkin arrangements, fall foliage wreaths, and massive skeletons. Each front door tells its own story of the season.

According to Lucia from Ultra Violet Flowers, Georgetown residents don’t tend to lean into the ghoulish part of Halloween.

“Decorations are more subtle and less tacky,” she says.

She told Georgetowner that fall is a busy time in the shop, with people popping in with all kinds of requests for autumnal arrangements.

Known for its historic charm, Georgetown consistently enchants.

“Front-door and fall decorations have evolved from simple, traditional harvest elements like corn stalks to sophisticated displays that prioritize layers, textures, muted colors, and high-quality decor,” says Dr. Sarah Kassem from Morgan’s Pharmacy.

Every year, its eye-catching entries seem to outdo the last, turning streets into a festive showcase of fall and Halloween spirit.
