Seeing Double: Santa at Volta Park, Rose Park on Saturday

With the Advent season begun, we knew Santa Claus was coming to town. In Georgetown, there’s always the opportunity to meet him twice in one day — at Volta Park on the west side and at Rose Park at the east side. Ho, ho, ho!

The Friends of Volta Park held its annual Breakfast With Santa on Saturday morning, Dec. 6 — with a line for family photos with Santa Claus (Tom Strike, again). There was Mama’s Donut Truck, hot cocoa and coffee, holiday crafts and reindeer cart races, along with a live DJ.

Rose Park Holiday Market was held Saturday afternoon, Dec. 6, by the Friends of Rose Park. Kids and canines — adults, too — met Santa Claus (Jared Joined, again) as he held court and gave out sweet treats. On hand was free cocoa, along with pizza, Alejandro’s taco truck, Bread Furst, T&U Cashmere and a live DJ, too.

Merry Christmas! And to all a good night!
