Barnes & Noble Georgetown is hosting an Easter egg hunt all day from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. until every egg hidden throughout the store is found. Every person who finds a golden egg gets a prize. At 11 a.m., Helen Zax will read “Little Bunny’s To-Do List,” and there will be candy treats for all attendees too. More information can be found here.

The Colonnade at Fairmont Washington, D.C. Georgetown is hosting an Easter brunch with two seatings at 11 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. The Easter Bunny will visit children, and an electric violinist will be the musical entertainment. On Saturday at 11 a.m., Firsthand Experiences at the National Museum of Women in the Arts is inviting contemporary creators to unite with learners age 13+ for programs that mix conversation, discovery and creativity. Guests can explore the restorative powers of the art of poetry and check out the exhibition “Making Their Mark: Works from the Shah Garg Collection” for inspiration. Friday evening, head to the Waldorf’s private Tasting Salon, for an intimate, 20-seat dinner that unites guests around a shared table for a multi-course, chef-driven tasting menu. It’s Petalpalooza Time!

The National Cherry Blossom Festival’s “Petalpalooza” is back for another year at The Yards. On Saturday from 1 to 9 p.m., the free, all ages event will feature music, art, interactive installations, roaming performers and a cashless beverage garden. The day ends with the National Cherry Blossom Festival Fireworks Show at 8:30 p.m. More information can be found here.

The Museum of Illusions Has a New Exhibit
Illusions in Bloom, a new cherry blossom takeover at the Museum of Illusions DC, is open now. It features immersive installations by Hiba Alyawer, a local artist, and is curated by Lina Alattar. Folger Shakespeare Library is hosting an afternoon tea Saturday and Sunday in the Founders’ Room. There will be an assortment of bites and sweet treats, paired with Harney & Sons tea. The menu includes bites like miniature sandwiches, pastries and baked goods. Nats Opening Day Is Here

The Washington Nationals home opener is Friday at 1 p.m. versus the LA Dodgers. There will be red carpet intros, the U.S. Army Ceremonial Band performing “America the Beautiful” and “The Star-Spangled Banner.” Guests can enjoy a live band playing on the Budweiser Terrace, as well as face painters, balloon animals and caricaturists in the Family Picnic Area. Popular comedian Nate Bargatze is taking the stage at Capital One Arena for his “Big Dumb Eyes Tour.” The stand-up star has established himself the last 10 years with a clean comedy and deadpan approach to making people laugh. Check Out ‘Cloudfall: A Fluffy Cloud Experience’

Cloudfall is currently in D.C. through April 12.


Now through April 12 at D.C. live music venue Berhta is an immersive experience called “Cloudfall: A Fluffy Cloud Experience.” Guests will see a 15-ton iridescent orb that soars overhead, giving guests the feeling of being in a cloud. The monumental scale artwork was born at Burning Man and exhibited at the world’s premier contemporary art fair Art Basel. The exhibit is currently touring nationwide.
