October begins with a few unique debuts.

Garage Clothing will open on Saturday, Oct. 3, at 3295 M St. NW, in the former Club Monaco space. Known for its trendy Gen Z-friendly women’s apparel, denim, basics and accessories, the store is the Montreal-based retailer’s first location in Washington, D.C.
The Georgetown Garage is having grand opening party on Saturday with special giveaways and gift cards.

Another cult favorite has arrived. Pop Mart, a Beijing-based toy company, opened at 3221 M St. NW. Think Hello Kitty and beyond — fantastical toys like Labubu, Harry Potter, the Powerpuff Girls and other pricey designer toys.

Moved: Rag & Bone
It’s just a quick move across the street. The American premium fashion brand Rag & Bone Menswear at 3067 M St. NW and Rag & Bone Womenswear at 3061 M St. NW have combined and moved to 3034 M St. NW — and will reopen on Friday, Oct. 2.
Founded by Marcus Wainwright and Nathan Bogle in 2002, Rag & Bone has more than 700 stores around the world.

Lemon Nail Bar recently took over the former Annie’s Nail Salon at 3064 M St. NW. Under new ownership and a new team, the salon tells us it “offers manicures, pedicures, nail extensions, lashes, facials and waxing, as well as HEMA-, TPO- and TMPTsA-free nail product options, selected with current European cosmetic safety standards and evolving industry practices in mind.”
Out: IKEA on M
Leading home furnisher IKEA’s plan-and-order location at 3307 M St. NW will close on Oct. 18, according to the Washington Business Journal. It’s been less than a year for the store —which IKEA called a “pop-up” — that opened on Nov. 5, 2025.
The store was not your standard IKEA. The spot allows customers to plan and order furnishings with the help of an IKEA team member, with delivery and scheduled services available.
