FRESH TALK: Privacy for Sale with the National Museum of Women in the Arts
May 15, 2022 @ 4:30 pm - September 26, 2074 @ 6:00 pm EDT

WHATFRESH TALK: Privacy for Sale Join the National Museum of Women in the Arts (NMWA) for a conversation about the buying and selling of our private information and how that data is used to manipulate and obstruct solutions to larger social change issues.
Scholar, writer and activist Shoshana Zuboff warns us that “We’ve stumbled into a future that we did not and would not choose. Information spaces that people assume to be public are ruled by surveillance capitalism for maximum profit. This tragedy leaves a trail of social wreckage in its wake.” Zuboff joins filmmaker Shalini Kantayya for this conversation, during which they will also discuss actions that you can take to regain privacy and change the impact the race for profit has on democracy.
