The school will mark this milestone with an Anniversary Gala on Friday, November 18, 2022 at the Anderson House. The event is Roaring 20s themed – fitting for this golden anniversary – and promises to be a glittery, fantastic evening.
Little Folks School (3247 Q St) is devoted to the needs of the whole child with a special focus on the Arts. Over the course of the last fifty years, Little Folks has built an engaging and vibrant community. The school and its students and families are deeply rooted in and committed to the greater community around us. You may often see our little ones around the neighborhood, walking up to Volta Park or Montrose Park and making memories along the way.
Little Folks School, both the institution and the building, have a unique and rich history. One fun fact – the building at 3247 Q St built was in 1908 as a dairy distribution plant, serving the community fresh dairy products from a nearby farm in Fairfax, VA. The building was placed on the National Register as a Historic Landmark in 1994.
