In this very special day workshop with resident teacher Gen Kelsang Demo, we will focus on the most recent publication by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche’s, The Mirror of Dharma This three session workshop will center around famous 14th century text by the renowned Buddhist scholar Je Tsongkhapa called The Three Principal Aspects of the Path. This text reveals a series of heartfelt meditations taught by Buddha that awaken our compassion and wisdom, and enable us to reach our full spiritual potential.

In this workshop, we will explore the practices of the three principal aspects of the path, renunciation, compassion and wisdom realizing emptiness.

This workshop is open to everyone and is ideal for those looking for an inspiring, enjoyable, and practical explanation of Buddhist meditation and philosophy and for those wishing to deepen their experience on the spiritual path. Each session will include a guided meditation, special preparatory prayers and a teaching.

This online course is available to anyone who would have the intention to attend the talk in person at KMC DC if it were possible.

GUIDED MEDITATION
Each class begins with guided breathing meditation, to help settle the mind, let go of distractions and cultivate inner peace.

TEACHING
Gen Demo will then give a practical teaching based on the topic of the class series and explain how we can integrate Buddha’s timeless wisdom into our busy daily lives.

CONCLUDING MEDITATION
The class concludes with a guided meditation to help us mix our mind with the teaching and take it to heart. There is also an opportunity to ask questions.

Gen Kelsang Demo is the Resident Teacher at Kadampa Meditation Center Washington DC and the Midwest National Spiritual Director. She is a long time student of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche and has been teaching for over 20 years. Gen Demo has a wealth of practical knowledge and provides clear and inspiring teachings for people of all levels of interest.
