PILGRIM ART FOUNDATION BRINGS AIDS QUILT PANEL TO DC

December 16, 2025 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm EST
Free

AIDS QUILT BLOCK 4395 MADE BY FRIEND & FRIENDS OF 4TH STREET, WASHINGTON, DC, 1996, COMES TO ARTIST’S LAST STUDIO HOUSE THROUGH THE AIDS MEMORIAL QUILT COMMUNITY DISPLAY PROGRAM AND THE LILY AND EARLE M. PILGRIM ART FOUNDATION.

President Trump planned nothing for World AIDS Day this year, and the State Department instructed its employees not to mark the day, stating, “We are modernizing our approach to countering infectious diseases.”

The U.S. is not alone in reducing international aid, as other countries – including France, Germany and the United Kingdom— have scaled back foreign assistance as they shift priorities. The UNAIDS report for World AIDS Day this year warned of “ruinous consequences.”
