Meadows continues to make an impression on the D.C. jazz scene as a jazz pianist, vocalist, composer and educator. Meadows recently made his acting debut as Jelly Roll Morton in “Jelly’s Last Jam” at Signature Theatre.

Fall favorites — apples, pumpkins, corn and more — have arrived at the family- and dog-friendly Glover Park & Burleith Farmers Market. At the festival there will be live music by the Market Band, free food samples and free yoga from 10 to 11 a.m. Ace of Glover Park is providing free popcorn and chalk for kids to use decorating the market. DC Vintage Cycles will be on hand for bike sales and repairs. Pop-ups this Saturday include Oh-Mazing Food’s small-batch granola, a local olive oil purveyor and sustainable seafood vendor Cold Country.

A main stage of 2,500 seats will feature six of the most popular festival authors. A poetry slam will also be held.
