Chef Jenn Trovato’s 1310 Kitchen & Bar — which opened earlier this year in the Georgetown Inn space on Wisconsin Avenue formerly occupied by a Daily Grill — is hosting a series of tasting and pairing events curated by Crovato and sommelier Michelle Gueydan.
The kickoff will be a tequila “Flights-n-Bites” on Thursday, Aug. 30.
On Wednesday, Sept. 5, from 7 to 9:30 p.m., the restaurant will host “7 Shades of Pink,” an exploration of bar beverages with a pinkish hue, including apple cider accented with red currant, sake made from purple rice, pink sour beer, sparkling syrah, mencia rosé, frappato “red” and a flamingo-colored port. Each will be paired with tapas-sized plates by Crovato. Tickets are $65.
The other events in the series are: a Reserve Wine Dinner with Rhys Vineyards on Sept. 12, an “Off the Beaten Path” Cocktail Pairing Dinner on Sept. 19, a Meet the Winemaker Happy Hour Flight on Sept. 20 and Virginia’s “Little Burgundy” Wine Dinner on Sept. 26.
