Opera: Expressing Cancer Survivors Emotional Healing Journey

October 20, 2018 @ 6:30 pm - 9:30 pm UTC+0

$80.00

On the occasion of “Breast Cancer Awareness Month” Nueva Vida will honor survivors strength and resilience by holding the event “Opera: Expressing Cancer Survivors Emotional Healing Journey.” The beauty and the power of opera will allow the audience to experience the range of emotions felt by survivors, all the way through their healing journey. There will also be a cocktail and a live auction.

Jose Manuel Chu, acclaimed Mexican tenor and international rising star, will perform in his first appearance in Washington, DC. He has performed in Europe, USA and in Latin America. Last month he conquered his audience at Palacio de Bellas Artes in Mexico City with his role in Macbeth. Ms. Randa Rouweyha, a Virginia soprano, will be a guest singer and Maestro Jose Antonio Espinal will be the pianist. This Breast Cancer Awareness Month program is a fundraising event benefiting Nueva Vida, a support health network for Latinas with cancer.
