We will explore the photographic capabilities of the iPhone over 4 consecutive weeks, conducted online via Zoom. We will learn about the native camera app, the pros and cons of various apps, and even the output/printing of your images. Weekly assignments will be given and critiqued. Tank and Reel Club

The Tank & Reel Club is dedicated to all things black and white film photography and darkroom printing. The class will explore camera use, film development, good negative, exhibit-quality darkroom prints. Teaching and critique will match the students’ level of experience. Whether you are printing from your first roll of film or you are an advanced photographer your goal will be a cohesive portfolio.

The Small Print:
Unique Hand Prints from Negatives
with Mac Cosgrove-Davies

Tuesdays 7pm-9pm
The course will focus on the charm and mystery of the small print. Students will learn to use medium format film cameras (supplied). They will develop the resultant film and make contact prints using two popular historic non-silver processes (gum bichromate and cyanotype). Students will mat their images to produce intimate, portable, jewel-like presentation prints. Course prerequisites: curiosity and enthusiasm. ($20 materials fee). More Info: gummist@gmail.com. Photography and Story Telling

For beginner and intermediate photographers who already have a grasp of the basics. This class is about the power of the photo and how it can be used to tell a story either brief or in depth. Learn how to tell a story visually and talk about what defines that and how sequencing can affect the story. We will review different examples of all types of a photo story. Students will shoot weekly assignments that will work towards their story, participate in reviews/critiques and in the end the students will have created a personal portfolio of work.
