From the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD), here are the latest crime and police reports in or near Georgetown.
Sept. 27 – Armed Robbery Investigation: Underway for an incident that occurred on the 900 block of Massachusetts Avenue NW. MPD is on the lookout for two black males seen in a gray Dodge Charger.
Sept. 26 – Unlawful Entry: A GUPD Officer reported two unauthorized individuals inside New South Hall located at 37th and O Streets NW.
Sept. 26 – Arrest Made: MPD made an arrest on a case that involved an assault with a gun on 1000 block of U Street NW.
Sept. 26 – Robbery Investigation: Underway for an incident that occurred on the 900 block of S Street NW. MPD is on the lookout for a black male with golden brown dreadlocks, black hoodie, black pants, and armed with a handgun.
Sept. 26 – Robbery Investigation: Underway for an incident that occurred on the 2300 block of 18th Street NW. MPD is on the lookout for three males, 5’10”-6’0”, aged in their 20’s, wearing black hoodies and armed with a dark grey handgun.
Sept. 25 – Robbery Snatch: Incident occurred on the 1500 block of Corcoran Street NW. Suspect is a black male, 5’5” tall, medium build, with a thin mustache.
Sept. 25 – Robbery Investigation: Underway for an incident occurring on the 500 block of M Street NW. Suspect is a black male in his 30s wearing black a black hoodie and green pants.
Sept. 25 – Bicycle Theft: A GU student reported that the theft occurred in the vicinity of Leavey Bridge.
Sept. 25 – Traffic Cones Theft: A GUPD officer reported that the theft occurred on Library Walk.
Sept. 23 – Robbery Investigation: Underway for two suspects. The first is a black male, 5’09”, slim build, and wearing a face mask. The other is a black male, 5’09”, stocky build, and appeared to be a teenager. The incident occurred on the 1500 block of 18th Street NW and the suspects were traveling in a four-door sedan.
Sept. 23 – Armed Robbery: MPD reported a white male suspect wearing all black, armed with a small handgun, and operating a gray SUV with unknown tags. The suspect robbed an establishment on the 4300 block of Wisconsin Avenue NW.
Sept. 23 – Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (AWD) (Gun): MPD is seeking assistance in identifying two suspects in an incident that occurred Sept. 19 on the 1400 block of W Street NW. Surveillance footage of the crime can be seen here.
Sept. 23 – Burglary Investigation: Underway for an incident that occurred on the 4000 block of Georgia Avenue NW. Person of interest can be seen in the surveillance footage linked here.
Sept. 23 – Theft: A GU affiliate reported the theft of Koi fish from a pond at White Gravenor Hall.
Sept. 22 – Arrest Made for One Suspect: Last week, the Georgetowner reported and released a photo of two suspects involved in an armed robbery with a gun that occurred on Sept. 19 on the 700 block of V Street NW. MPD recently announced that an arrest has been made and the other suspect is still at large. A surveillance video containing the unidentified suspect can be seen here.
Sept. 21 – AWD (Knife): Underway for an offense that occurred on the 1100 block of 25th Street NW. An image of the suspect can be seen on the surveillance footage released here.
Sept. 20 – Destruction of Property: A student reported that an unknown person vandalized their bicycle at the 3600 block of N Street NW.
