WHATThe Tea: Cecily Join the National Museum of Women in the Arts (NMWA) for The Tea, a series of virtual live performances by women musicians. DC-based vocalist and songwriter Cecily is known for her agile soprano and honest lyrics. Her sound is rooted in deep appreciation for mid-century soul and jazz, 90s R&B and re-imagined folk music. Over her career, she has made a commitment to create work that celebrates vulnerability as a strength, unconditional love as a grounding principle and joy as an innate human right.
