The Citi Open Kicks Off Saturday
Calling all tennis fans! The Citi Open tennis tournament kicks off Saturday with lots of things to do in addition to the tennis itself. Catch 11 different sessions with big names like Andy Murray, Venus Williams and D.C. native Hailey Baptiste. Foodies will be happy to hear there will be culinary offerings from José Andrés, Nick Stefanelli and more. There will be a signature cocktail on hand too (the “Real Ace,” with Real Azul Tequila). Bring the kids to Sunday’s Citi Open Kids’ Day with face painting, children’s tennis matches and giveaways. More on the Citi Open can be found here.

Immerse Yourself in Dunder Mifflin Beginning This Weekend
For fans of The Office, you’ll want to check out opening weekend of The Office Experience. The fun begins today at 1020 G St. NW. You’ll be able to take Instagrammable photos with Kevin’s famous (spilled) chili, answer the phone at reception like Pam and be the “World’s Best Boss” sitting at Michael Scott’s desk. “American Prophet” at Arena Stage
Playwright Charles Randolph-Wright comes back to Arena Stage with “American Prophet,” a musical inspired by the speeches and writings of Frederick Douglass. There are new melodies and an original script by Marcus Hummon (Grammy Winner for “Bless the Broken Road”) and Randolph-Wright. The show tells the story of Douglass’s legacy and spirit. The Last Weekend of The Second City’s “The Revolution Will Be Improvised”
Chicago’s Second City improv troupe has returned to in-person shows. Their travels to D.C. end this weekend. Their show “The Revolution Will Be Improvised” brings an original comedy sensation that makes lots of fun out of our “new normal,” including remote work, doomscrolling and binge-watching lots of TV. Have Some “Sunday Serenity” with Yoga at Dumbarton House
The eighth annual summer Sunday yoga series at Dumbarton House continues this Sunday at 10 a.m. The one-hour all levels class is a bring-your-own-mat session and a waiver is required to participate. A $5 per-person donation is suggested. If it rains, class is canceled at or after 8 a.m. the morning of the class. Check Dumbarton House’s social media for more info on weather cancellations. Check Out the Frontera Project at the National Building Museum
The Frontera Project uses theater, music, movement, play and interactive conversations with actors and the audience to depict and discuss the life of people living intimately on, with, and across a vibrant binational border. It will be presented by Mexican actors from the “Tiajuana Hace Teatro” playgroup during the National Building Museum ‘s summer block party The Playhouse on the custom built Folger Shakespeare Library stage installation in the center of the historic building, at noon Friday July 29 through Sunday July 31. On Monday August 1, the Frontera Project will be part of the “Late Night At the Museum” activities between 8-10 p.m. Frontera Project performances are free to those with NBM entry tickets. The project encourages audiences to engage in conversations with the Mexican/American actors about life at the US/Mexico Border and is produced with support from the Mexican Cultural Institute.
