Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay Golf Resort, Spa and Marina is partnering with the Dorchester Chamber of Commerce and Ice Labs as the presenting sponsor of the Third Annual Ice & Oyster Festival in Downtown Cambridge. As presenting sponsor, the resort will debut an ice slide for the upcoming event. The resort will also provide special overnight rates for attendees of the festival.
The 2024 Ice & Oyster Festival will take place on January 12 and 13. With more than 50 ice sculpture and more than 8,000 visitors to the 2023 event, the 2024 festival is expected to surpass those numbers.
The schedule of activities will feature ice carving demonstrations, oyster shucking demonstrations, an ice bar with artisan cocktails served in ice glasses, fire pits for warming up and making s’mores. Delicious food and oyster selections will be available from Madhouse Oysters, Dorchester Seafood Heritage Association, Choptank Terrapin Oyster Co., Farm Creek Oyster Co., Madison Bay Seafood, and Bonnie’s Seafood Shack. The event will also showcase dozens of hand-carved ice sculptures, and new this year, an ice slide that attendees can enjoy.
The Ice & Oyster Festival will also showcase local music and entertainment with two stages. On Friday, January 12, Endless Embers, a local band featuring Sarah Robins and Simba, and Caleb Stine will perform. On Saturday, January 13, attendees can enjoy performances from Sam Pugh, Emma Myers, Bryan Russo, and Louis Wright.
