American novelist Eudora Welty famously said, “A good snapshot stops a moment from running away.” A good snowfall partially compensates for its discomforts on a city by providing fleeting moments of great beauty and winter fun. Before the snowplows, the traffic and Mother Nature combine to destroy the evidence, we’ve taken these snapshots of Washington, D.C., during and after the Great Blizzard of 2016.
