Word amid the yoga mats is that Down Dog Yoga’s original building at 1046 Potomac St. NW, next to the C&O Canal, could soon be housing a Blue Bottle Coffee cafe. With shops in California and New York, this would be the first Blue Bottle Coffee in D.C. The Oakland-based caffeine addicts consider themselves coffee purists. They named their company after the first coffee house in Western Europe, after the Ottomans were defeated at the gates of Vienna.
