The Friends of Georgetown Waterfront Park gathered Sept. 22 at the Park Road home of former Sen. Jay Rockefeller and Sharon Percy Rockefeller to mark 10 years of the nonprofit that cares and advocates for the popular Potomac River park. The park’s biggest booster was Sen. Charles Percy, who died in 2011 four days after the park — at K Street and Wisconsin Avenue, now a National Park Service unit — was officially dedicated.
