Georgetown Theater Building Renovation Applauded

The Georgetown Business Association held its monthly networking reception at the renovated and repurposed Georgetown Theater property at 1351 Wisconsin Ave. NW Feb. 15 with a lively crowd, curious to see the new space and happy to sample miniburgers and more from Gtown Bites as well as libations from Butterfly Mixtures.

Hailed for leading the revitalization of this section of the avenue, architect-owner Robert Bell showed off the large, open first floor as well as back garden and studio and thanked the community for its support, especially that of the GBA and its president Sonya Bernhardt. With its iconic “GEORGETOWN” lighted outdoor theater sign preserved, the multilevel building is partly occupied but its main floor and mezzanine are available for commercial lease.

*The next GBA monthly reception will be this Wednesday, March 22, 6:30 p.m., at the offices of Kennedy & Co., 1231 Potomac St. NW.*
