In conjunction with Hope Connections for Cancer Support’s tenth anniversary, the nonprofit held its Celebration of Hope Gala on March 16 at the Watergate Hotel. What started in March 2007 with one facility in Bethesda, a weekly support group for patients and caregivers and a single yoga class has grown to include a newly opened location in Prince George’s County. Together the two Hope Connections offer more than 50 monthly support groups and mind-body classes at no cost to the participants, along with educational workshops and social events.
