Colombian Ambassador Francisco Santos hosted a reception Oct. 23 at his residence with the board of Restore Mass Ave, honoring the “re-greening of Embassy Row,” which has seen a 13-percent tree canopy growth in ten years. Santos noted that Colombia “is the most biodiverse country in the world” and offered his support, as he remarked “what you do locally changes the world.” The group’s goal is to make Embassy Row the best remaining “grand avenue” in the nation and a model for sustainable historic streets everywhere.
