Crime and Police Blotter, Sept. 20 


From the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD), here are the latest crime and police reports in or near Georgetown.

Sept. 19 – Physical Assault: A G.U. Affiliate reported the incident in the vicinity of New South Hall on the 3700 block of O Street NW.   

Sept. 19 – Shooting Investigation: MPD is asking citizens to look out for a male in a white four-wheeler. The incident occurred on the 1200 block of U Street NW.  

Sept. 19 – Shooting Investigation: Underway for an incident on the 5800 block of 14th Street NW.

Sept. 19 – Robbery Investigation: Underway for males wearing grey hoodies and grey sweatpants. The incident occurred on the 2000 block of Ninth Street NW. 

Sept. 19 – Armed Robbery: MPD is seeking assistance in identifying two suspects in an Armed Robbery (Gun) on the 700 block of V Street NW.  

Sept. 18 – Shooting Investigation: Incident occurred on the 1900 block of 13th Street NW.

Sept. 18 – Armed Robbery: Incident occurred at 2:40 a.m. on the 800 block of Q Street NW. MPD is on the lookout for three black males, wearing all black, ski masks, and in possession of firearms.  

Sept. 18 – Homicide: MPD is investigating a homicide on the 1300 block of Nicholson Street NW. Shortly after 9 p.m., MPD’s Fourth District arrived on the scene to find 17 year-old Brian Villataro suffering from gunshot wounds. Emergency Medical Services arrived shortly afterwards to find the victim displaying no signs of life. 

Sept. 17 – Armed Robbery: MPD is asking for the public’s assistance in reference to a suspect involved in an armed robbery (gun) and theft of a stolen auto at the 5300 block of 43rd Street NW. At 10:35 a.m. the suspect approached a vehicle and demanded it at gunpoint. The victim relinquished the keys and was unharmed. A surveillance video of the incident can be seen here 

Sept. 16 – Burglary: MPD is looking for a suspect in reference to a Burglary One offense on the 2300 block of 17th Street NW. 

Sept. 16 – Armed Robbery: MPD is on the lookout for 4 to 5 suspects who were involved in an armed robbery (gun) incident. The offense occurred on the 1900 block of 19th Street NW. One suspect was described as wearing a red-hooded sweatshirt and another a blue-hooded sweatshirt. All suspects were occupying a silver sedan.  

Sept. 16 – Burglary: MPD is looking for the suspect in the surveillance video involved in an incident located at the 3000 block of P Street NW. 

Sept. 16 – Arrest: For a burglary offense on the 3400 block of Prospect Street NW. The suspect took property of an occupied residence and fled the scene. 

Sept. 16 – Suspect Sought: MPD is seeking public assistance in identifying a suspect involved in a Burglary Two Offense that occurred on the 3000 block of P Street NW. The suspect forcibly gained entry into an establishment at around 3 a.m. Once inside, the suspect took property and fled the scene. A surveillance video of the incident can be seen here 

Sept. 14 – Assault with a Deadly Weapon: MPD is seeking public assistance in reference to an assault involving a gun at 4:47 p.m. on the 1300 block of Kenyon Street NW. Surveillance camera video can be seen here.

Crime Solvers of Washington, D.C. currently offers a reward to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and indictment of the person or persons responsible for a crime committed in the District of Columbia.
