•Virginia-based commercial real estate company Rohrer Realty Partners is working with Leap, a retail platform for modern brands, to bring five new retailers to the D.C. market. Two new retailers will be coming to Georgetown and an additional two will be returning to the community.
Premium leather bag company Hobo is open at 1265 Wisconsin Ave. NW. The female-founded, family-run accessories company has its flagship store in Annapolis. It currently occupies the former John Fluevog spot.
Little Words Project has opened across the street at 1246 Wisconsin Ave. NW, selling inspirational bracelets.
Returning to the area is Naadam, a cashmere shop located at 3003 M St. NW. Rent the Runway is back for your fall and holiday gala needs at 3222 M St. NW in Georgetown Park.
Leap establishes and operates shops for brands like Naadam, ThirdLove and others in U.S. markets and announced earlier this year $50 million Series B financing and its expansion into five new markets (including the D.C. area).
Leap worked with Rohrer to lease the locations (along with ThirdLove in Tyson’s Corner) to build a turnkey retail solution that lets brands rapidly deploy stores that work jointly with e-commerce at a largely reduced cost and risk. Leap currently operates 65 stores with more than 50 brands on its platform.
“Rohrer played a key role in helping us build our network of retail stores locally,” said Rebecca Fitts, associate vice president of real estate at Leap in a press release. “D.C. is a high-traffic and affluent region with shoppers interested in a wide range of products and lifestyles.”
According to the Georgetown Business Improvement District, the neighborhood’s commercial real estate market includes over five million square feet of retail and office space in over 450 buildings with seven significant development projects happening in the area.
Rohrer works with tenants across the retail and office sector to land the best locations to suit their needs. In addition to leasing, Rohrer manages a portfolio of commercial office and medical buildings in Northern Virginia.
