By Eleanor Assey (3rd Grade)

When I travel with my parents to different cities, countries, and in other parts of D.C., many of these places have the SAME EXACT stores and restaurants. Georgetown doesn’t! There are stores with creative staff who love our neighborhood. We need to always try to buy local!

What many Georgetown businesses want for 2023 is for business to go fully back to normal – no masks, no Covid precautions, and more customers. Some like AMANO are planning to grow their web sales. Scheele’s hopes no more regulars move out of the neighborhood. Ultra Violet said it best: Big! Grand! Beautiful!

Many know exactly what local kids like most about their business.
