Tudor Place’s 31st Garden Party Honors Diana Prince

Tudor Place saluted Diana Prince, longtime supporter of the house and gardens, built in 1815, at its annual garden party. Her daughter Daisy Prince Chisholm accepted the award on behalf of her mother, who could not attend the event due to recuperation from a medical procedure.
Said party co-chairs Julia Cottafavi and Paige Shirk: “Tonight, we have the privilege of honoring a true wonder woman: philanthropist, community advocate and Honorary Trustee, Diana Prince.”
As always, the vernal evening on May 24 was a moving mix of fashion, food, conversation and libation.
The Spring Garden Party celebrated Tudor Place’s ongoing commitment to historic preservation, conservation and dynamic educational programming for all ages — and raised more than $250,000.
Surrounded by 5 1⁄2 acres in the heart of Washington’s historic Georgetown neighborhood, Tudor Place is a site where visitors can be rejuvenated amid its beauty and botanical wonder. Executive Director Mark Hudson noted, “In this unusual moment, we have become an essential agent of relief and comfort. The preservation and protection of this National Historic Landmark is now, more than ever, vital to this community.”
