Real Estate Featured Property—A New Era for Area Wineries

The Vineyards & Winery at Lost Creek, located in Loudoun County, was sold through Washington Fine Properties for $3.6 million. The sale is the most notable farm or vineyard sale and the fourth biggest residential transaction in Loudoun County this year (to date). Washington Fine Properties’ (WFP) Daryl Judy and Debbie Meighan represented the sellers in this deal, while Sharon Brown, also of WFP, helped the buyers through the transaction.

New owners Ashley and Mark Witt are planning on launching their own winery, which they intend to call Not Just N.E. Farm Vineyard. The 50+ acre property will include vineyards, a tasting and production facility and a residence as well. There is also an event space on site.

Former owners Todd and Aimee Henkle are planning on relocating their operations to the Meridian Ridge area and their tasting room to downtown Leesburg’s Echelon Wine Bar. They will continue to offer meals, tastings and shipping with their Lost Creek Wine Club. The Henkles are planning on hosting dinners and events at Echelon too.
