BellRinger 2024: Over $4 Million and Counting Raised to End Cancer

BellRinger is a community that works together to support cancer research breakthroughs at Georgetown University’s Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center. Every year, a community bike ride fundraiser takes place to raise money for a cancer-free future.

$4.3 million dollars have been raised since 2022, which includes what has been raised to date. While the community bike ride was the weekend of October 25 and 26, fundraising is still ongoing through the end of the year.

The 2024 ride saw 1,166 riders embark on either a 25, 50 or 100-mile course. There were a total of 151 teams and nearly 400 volunteers along the route who provided photography, snacks and encouragement.

“Seeing thousands of riders unite this past weekend made it clear that we will one day reach a cancer-free future with Georgetown Lombardi,” said Bridget Holmes, Bellringer’s executive director. “Our work is only beginning, and we can’t wait to continue our fight to end cancer with the BellRinger community.”
