Buckle up—it’s going to be a long week! Here are just five of the many Election Day specials around town.
Cucina Morini’s Election Day Cocktail Battle
Cucina Morini on 4th St. NW is hosting an Election Day cocktail battle featuring the “Primadonna,” made with grapefruit-infused tequila and dry vermouth versus the “Suspira,” also made with tequila, pepper brine and sweet vermouth. The drinks will be available for $7 and of course, election returns will be on bar TVs.
The Capitol Hill eatery is offering a $5 house wine, draft beer or a house cocktail to anyone who presents an “I Voted” sticker at their New Jersey Ave. NW restaurant.
The popular “Le Dip” is offering a watch party goodie bag via Doordash on Election Night. For $125, Washingtonians can order an assortment of snacks including salami sopressata, marinated olives, mixed nuts, a cheese board and even a bag of tissues (to cry tears of joy or sadness).
All Purpose
The New Jersey style pizza joint with multiple locations around town will be hosting an Election Night special for three of their most popular pizzas. Guests can cast a vote for the Standard (a classic cheese pizza), the Buona (with pepperoni, chili honey and basil), or the Sedgwick (with ricotta and black truffle honey). If you order the winning pizza, you’ll get a ticket to redeem a free drink on your next visit.
If you prefer to stay close to home, Georgetown’s Sovereign on Wisconsin Ave. NW is extending its $6 happy hour into the evening on Election Night. Snacks like loaded fries and draft beers, wines and spirits will be available, including an Electio Night only drink dubbed “The Belgian Non-Partisan,” made with vodka and curacao.
