Osteria Mozza, Georgetown’s New Culinary Star

Georgetown’s newest culinary star and Starr restaurant — Osteria Mozza DC — will formally open on Sunday, Nov. 10.

Restaurateur Stephen Starr partnered with Michelin star chef Nancy Silverton of Los Angeles to bring the East Coast version of her Italian restaurant to the former Dean & Deluca space at 3276 M St. NW.

After years of planning and reconstruction and $16 million, Osteria Mozza is ready — and drew a preview party on Nov. 1. Food and fun were in abundance as the staff and the building shone in its neighborhood debut.

One longtime real estate executive observed that the addition of Osteria Mozza significantly takes Georgetown to a whole, new  level.

The foodies, influencers and party-goers added to the newfound vibe that the restaurant will no doubt keep going.

Welcome to Georgetown, Stephen Starr and Nancy Silverton!
