Washington Fine Properties, a real estate brokerage with 150 agents specializing in luxury properties across the D.C. area, has joined Compass. The partnership will allow the two firms to continue to operate under their own brands and will extend Compass’ luxury presence in the region.
“By joining forces with WFP, the most reputable local luxury brokerage, we have the opportunity to enhance our combined luxury offerings, and through innovative programs like Compass’ 3-Phased Marketing Strategy, we can continue to create a company that better serves homeowners,” said Compass founder and CEO Robert Reffkin in a press release.

Washington Fine Properties will continue to be led by Principal Broker Dana E. Landry, President Thomas B. Anderson and Managing Partners William F. X. Moody and Marc P. Schappell.
“We are just thrilled to keep our identity and brand intact, while partnering with one of the industry leaders,” Nancy Taylor Bubes, leader of Washington Fine Properties’ NTB Group, told The Georgetowner. “So many things are happening today in the real estate world and Compass gives our boutique firm that much more exposure and resources for our clients, all the while keeping our presence in the D.C. luxury market.”
Anderson said in a press release that Compass shares Washington Fine Properties’ passion for empowering clients at every stage of their home ownership journey and has been a “powerful leader in driving positive change” within the real estate industry.
Compass is a tech-focused brokerage that launched in the DMV just over a decade ago after acquiring and rebranding Lindsay Reishman Real Estate. According to the Washington Business Journal, Compass has grown mostly through acquisitions, adding around 2,000 agents locally over the last decade. This most recent partnership with Washington Fine Properties is one of the biggest and highest profile deals the firm has done locally.
