Now that the season is ending, we wanted to take the time to honor our summer 2025 interns. This group of talented individuals are the future of journalism, and we were grateful to share our experiences while also learning from them. Thank you, congratulations and we look forward to seeing more of your bylines soon!
Grace Elizabeth Cady

Grace is entering her final semester of graduate school at Georgetown University pursuing a master’s in journalism degree. During her academic career, she has interned at various publications such as the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel and served as a production assistant for NBC News during last summer’s Republican National Convention (RNC). She has especially enjoyed connecting with members of the Georgetown and greater D.C. community during her time interning at The Georgetowner. In her free time, Grace also loves reading Dolly Alderton books, antique shopping, going to Eastern Market and watching romantic comedies.
Caroline Woodward
From Atlanta, Georgia, Caroline Woodward is a rising junior at Georgetown University, double-majoring in English and government with a minor in journalism. At Georgetown, Caroline is a contributing editor to The Hoya, Director of Outreach & Public Affairs in the Gender Violence Alliance, and a Marketing and Publicity intern for Georgetown University Publishing. She is grateful to have had an opportunity to grow in both her writing and reporting abilities through The Georgetowner while also learning more about D.C.!
Annabel Taylor

Annabel Taylor is a high school junior in the D.C. area, where she is an opinion writer for her school’s student-run newspaper. She has loved interning for the Georgetowner and diving into D.C.’s cultural, food and fashion scenes. When she’s not writing, Annabel is crocheting, junk-journaling or binge-watching ’90s rom-coms.
Maren Fagen
Maren Fagan is a rising junior at Georgetown University, where she studies Government and Justice and Peace Studies while minoring in journalism. She is grateful for her time at The Georgetowner because she feels that she has formed a deeper connection with community members. Besides her work for The Georgetowner, Maren is the editor in chief of Georgetown’s student newspaper, The Hoya. She also loves walking along the Georgetown Waterfront, listening to music and exploring local bookstores.
Caroline Moore
Caroline Moore is heading into her final semester at the George Washington University, where she’s majoring in international affairs and minoring in sustainability and history. She’s currently exploring graduate programs focused on international sustainability or international development, hoping to build a career that blends global policy with environmental impact. Her internship at The Georgetowner played a big role in shaping her interest in local journalism, giving her a firsthand look at how storytelling can strengthen community ties, especially in a place as unique and tight-knit as Georgetown. Before moving to DC for school, Caroline was involved in local media back home in Roanoke, Virginia. While she’s not a Georgetown University student, she’s a regular in the area, you’ll often spot her running through Georgetown’s streets or along the Rock Creek trails, soaking in the scenery and staying connected to the neighborhood she’s grown to love.
