Say “Shake it Off” to the week, put on your best “Cardigan,” grab your “Lover” and head out to these area celebrations for “The Life of a Showgirl,” Taylor Swift’s 12th album that will be released Friday.

1310 Kitchen & Bar

Chef Jenn Crovato of 1310 Kitchen & Bar is a strong, confident woman in the D.C. restaurant scene. It’s no wonder she’s a Swiftie! Crovato will be hosting an epic “Showgirl” album release party Friday from 9 p.m.-midnight. There will be a “Bake it Off” station where guests can decorate their own mini pop tarts, a friendship bracelet making station playing off the Eras Tour trend, and of course to pay homage to Swift’s lucky number, cocktails and apps for $13.
Shaw’s Tavern
520 Florida Ave. NW
Tell your boss they “need to calm down” and take off work Friday like a true Swiftie to attend a Friday drag show at Shaw’s celebrating Swift’s new album. Michelle Devereaux Lavigne and Shelita Ramen are set to make appearances, and bottomless mimosas are just $26. Doors open at noon, and the show starts at 12:30 p.m. Admission is free with brunch purchase.
AMC Georgetown 14
3111 K St. NW
Believe it or not, there are still some seats available for Taylor Swift’s “The Official Release Party of a Showgirl,” which will include the world premiere of the music video for the song “The Fate of Ophelia,” along with behind-the-scenes footage, new lyric videos, and Swift’s personal reflections on songs from the album. Showings are Friday only!
Cork Wine Bar
1805 14th St. NW
Saturday from 12-3 p.m., head to Cork for a special Taylor Swift-themed wine tasting. Swift’s favorite wines will be poured by Forager Wines’ Todd Schneider and of course, Taylor Swift songs will be playing.
