Filomena always goes all out for the holidays. Decorated in lush reds, greens, silvers and golds, guests at the restaurant tend to instantly smile whenever they step inside. In addition to oversized nutcrackers and miniature carousels and intricate gingerbread houses, Filomena also sells Italian holiday favorites like panettone. Find out more about Filomena here.

Martin’s holiday decorations invoke a sense of nostalgia, with plenty of wreaths, garland, and red bows dotting both indoors and outside the restaurant. In addition to being all decorated for the festive season, Martin’s offers a yearly ornament for purchase. More information on the restaurant, including menus, can be found here.

Clyde’s
3236 M St. NW

Clyde’s gigantic nutcracker statues guarding either side of the entrance to the Georgetown location have been a holiday staple for years. Before you go in to grab a burger or have brunch, it’s worth snapping a photo with one for fun and merry memories for years to come. More information on Clyde’s and its Georgetown offerings can be found here.

Downtown

Holly Jolly Christmas Bar at Puttery DC
800 F St. NW

Running just a few more days (until December 28, to be exact!), Puttery DC is hosting the Holly Jolly Holiday Bar. The bar looks like it was decorated by Clark Griswold, with twinkle lights literally everywhere. There are seasonal cocktails served nightly, and each ticket includes a 90-minute open seating and welcome drink. There are non-alcoholic options available as well. Additional drinks and bites can be purchased on-site. More information on how to get tickets can be found here.

Urban Roast DC

Like Puttery, Urban Roast’s Penn Quarter location is hosting a holiday pop-up through December 31. In addition to themed holiday drinks and eats, guests can wander through four holiday “worlds.” On the main floor is the Winter Wonderland, decorated in a shimmering forest of white. There’s also Candyland, in The Rose Roo, which is ornamented with (you guessed it) oversized lollipops and pink-hued confectionary décor. The Grinch’s Lair, located in the secondary dining room, has green mood lighting and Whoville inspired trees. Finally, the upstairs bar is The North Pole and includes icy blue hues, snowflakes, life-sized Santa statues and the jolly man in red himself holding court. More information can be found here.

The Jefferson
1200 16th St. NW
Perhaps what The Jefferson does best during the holidays is its elegant fireplace mantels. Their cocoa trolley, a new addition to the hotel, is best enjoyed fireside. Guests can personalize their hot cocoa creations with candies, cookies, house made marshmallows and more. More information on The Jefferson can be found here.
