This year will mark the 13th year of this annual event. An elite field of 35 professional athletes, the most ever, including Olympian and seven-time IRONMAN Champion Andy Potts, Olympian Sarah Haskins, Olympian Jarrod Shoemaker and more are set to compete for a $20,000 prize purse. The race will take participants for a swim in the Potomac River (the only event that allows swimming in the Potomac) and winding on a bike ride and run past the Washington Monument, Lincoln Memorial, WWII Memorial, Jefferson Memorial and more. The Nation’s Escape Triathlon will offer an action-packed weekend including an Olympic distance race (1.5k swim, 40k bike and 10k run), a sprint distance race (8k swim, 25.3k bike and 5k run), an Olympic distance AquaBike race (1,500m swim and 40k bike) and a Sports & Fitness Expo.
