A Buddhist Perspective on Self and Other

May 6, 2022 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm UTC-4

$7.50 – $15

Our sense that we are an island, an independent, self-sufficient individual bears no relation to reality. It is closer to the truth to picture ourselves as a cell in the vast body of life, distinct yet intimately bound up with all living beings.

Relationships make up the fabric of our life…wherever we turn, we are interacting with others. In this Friday Night Lecture, we will learn methods to improve all relationships in our life, from our friends, partner, children, coworkers, and family.

EVENT SCHEDULE
Friday Evening May 6th, 7:00 – 8:15pm

THE TEACHER
This course is taught by Gen Kelsang Norden . She is a senior ordained teacher, was requested by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche to teach modern Buddhism at Kadampa Meditation Center Georgia. Ordained as a Buddhist nun in 1994, Gen Norden has been teaching Buddhism and meditation in the US and the UK for nearly 30 years.
