April 25 @ 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm EDT

Free

Join us for an in-depth presentation focused on Black Latinx artists whose work takes on erasure and exclusion as legacies of colonization. The lecture explores the idea of “making as action” and the provocative and transformative role art and scholarship can play in this conversation.

About the presenter

Adriana Zavala is associate professor at Tufts University and founding co-director of the US Latinx Art Forum. She is currently the Andrew W. Mellon Professor (2022–2024) at the National Gallery’s Center for Advanced Study in the Visual Arts.
