WHAT: The recent police killings and harassment of unarmed Black men have shed light on “The Talk,’’ the discussion Black American fathers have with their sons about how to behave and protect themselves during a routine traffic stop by law enforcement officials.
Jesse J. Holland is a former Associated Press race and ethnicity reporter, author of Marvel’s “Who Is the Black Panther?” and editor of “Black Panther: Tales of Wakanda.” He will lead a discussion on the book themes with prominent Black men on topics including police confrontation, health, finances, and financial and personal success.
