Carousel Day 2019
The Glen Echo Park Partnership for Arts and Culture presents CAROUSEL DAY on Saturday, April 27, to celebrate the opening of the Park’s historic Dentzel carousel for the 2019 season. Free activities will be presented throughout the park, including live music and performances featuring Barynya, Cantaré, Enviro Drum, Global Connections, and Mark H Rooney: Taiko, the Art of Japanese Drumming. Other activities include face painting, carousel-themed crafts, a roving magician, and – of course! – carousel rides. Returning this summer as part of Carousel Day will be a Summer Camp Open House where families can learn more about the Park’s many visual and performing arts camps, as well as nature camps.
