Chamber Dance Project presents a powerful season of two World Premieres and repertoire favorites June 16-19 at the Greenberg Theatre, 4200 Wisconsin Avenue, NW. Grace, Grandeur & Gatsby features ten dancers, and six musicians live onstage in works by four choreographers including the powerful new Gatsby, that brings the seductive and dangerous world of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s iconic American novel to life through a striking collage of dance, music and shadow puppetry. Also receiving its world premiere is Gravity to Grace, an eloquent exploration of yearning and grief in a vibrant collection of duets by award-winning choreographer Tommie-Waheed Evans. Repertoire favorites returning to the stage include Prufrock, the 2019 hit with T.S. Eliot’s renowned poem, Dwellings, a soaring ensemble work by dancer and choreographer Christian Denice, as does Extremely Close – a sensuous duet in a sea of white feathers.
